JOB OPPORTUNITY - SCIENTIC JOURNALISM

FREELANCE CONTRACT
Job Description:
Do you fancy an 6-8 month journey of intellectual discovery? Have you the mental dynamism and originality to throw fresh light on major issues? This is an opportunity to work with an award-winning journalist on a new book re-evaluating sport through such things as genetics, globalisation, politics, neuroscience, behavioural economics and psychology.
Qualifications:
You will have a first class and highly original mind with a strong knowledge of mathematics and statistics. You will have an eye for what is topical and newsworthy. You will have formidable research skills. You will have the interpersonal skills to conduct interviews with major figures in the sporting and academic world. Ideally, you will have some experience of conducting social experiments or familiarity with the methodologies used in such experiments. Please provide evidence of bold, original thinking in your academic area of expertise.
Fee: £20,000 plus bonus
Start date: No later than 1 July 2008
